Traditionally, the Hungarian Grand Prix is regarded as a kind of a
'home Grand Prix', for Robert. After all, no other circuit on the
calendar is located as close to the BMW Sauber F1 Team driver's native
Poland as the "Hungaroring". Therefore, it didn't come as a huge
surprise that this year's race at Budapest was once again attended by a
large number of the 23-year old's compatriots, all wanting to witness
him racing the BMW Sauber F1.08 on the tight and twisting race-track.
The 2008 Hungarian Grand Prix even achieved a new attendance record.
250,000 motor-racing enthusiasts made the trip to the "Hungaroring".
According to government spokesman David Daroczi, "10 to 15 per cent
more than last year." Since its debut back in 1986, the Hungarian World
Championship round has never witnessed such a huge crowd.
