With his runner-up finish in the British Grand Prix, Nick Heidfeld has made it back to the road to success. We have compiled several interesting facts about the somewhat chaotic race at Silverstone for you. .

- For the third time this year, Nick crossed the finish line of a Grand Prix as runner-up. He also finished second in Canada and Australia.

- In the qualifying session at the "Silverstone Circuit", Nick also delivered clearly better than in the recent past. For the first time this season, Nick secured a better grid position than his team-mate. And for the first time since the Malaysian Grand Prix he made it to the top five on the grid.

- Nick is the only driver who has made it to the finish line in each of the nine races of the 2008 season to date.

- By finishing second at Silverstone, Nick gained a lot of ground, compared to the drivers ahead of him. He now lies ten points behind Robert and twelve behind the joint leaders, Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa.

- It was the sixth runner-up finish in Nick's career to date.

- For the second time this season, Robert had to cope with an early retirement. In Australia, he was pushed out of the race by Williams' Kazuki Nakajima.

- On lap 22, Robert crossed the line in 1:33.539 minutes, thus clocking his personal fastest race lap. With a 1:32.719-minute lap, Nick proved to be clearly faster. His average speed on this lap was nearly 200 km/h. The only driver who lapped the wet "Silverstone Circuit" faster was Kimi Räikkönen.

- Nick's second pit stop, on lap 38, proved to be the quickest executed by the BMW Sauber F1 Team at Silverstone. Including the time spent while entering and exiting the pit lane, Nick needed just 25.783 seconds to rejoin the race.
