Marko is the first racing driver from Estonia to have made the step up to Formula One - even if he is not yet a regular driver. It was the reward for hard work and a tiring 2007. "Last year was very important for me", recalls Marko. "I won the British Formula 3 Championship. However, if I had not been given the chance to complete a test drive at the end of last year, and thus given the opportunity to prove what I can do, then I would probably never have made it."
And Marko took his chance brilliantly. However, the 23-year-old aims to continue to work hard to improve in his first season as official test driver for the team from Munich and Hinwil: "Learn a lot, gain as much experience as possible, and do the best job possible" are Marko's objectives. "That is all I can do. I cannot influence anything else. I have just got to be quick and good. This is the chance of my life", says Marko.
