With 101 World Championship points and
two podium finishes, the Munich and Hinwil based squad established
itself as third power on the grid, thus realising all its self
determined goals.
And there is even one category where the BMW Sauber F1 Team proved to
be the No 1, in 2007: over the course of the 17 Grands Prix, no team
completed as many laps and covered as many kilometres as the BMW Sauber
F1 Team. The 5188 laps completed by Nick Heidfeld, Robert Kubica and
Sebastian Vettel in 2007 represent more than 25,000 kilometres.
One reason for this impressive achievement was the reliability of the
car and its drivers. Just five times in 2007, did a BMW Sauber F1 Team
driver fail to score - and at least one of the team's drivers scored
World Championship points in every race.
